Okay fellow bloggy peeps, it's time to extol your unique abilities and skills. Embrace your inner DAW!
For example, Kim is GREAT at making me feel inferior with her tremendous kitchen skills and cooking ingenuity. KIDDING! *smooches for Kim*
I am not really ‘fantastic’ at anything but ‘good’ at lots of stuff. I am a really good baker. Christmas time is a favorite of my in-laws as they get huge amounts of baked goods from me and it’s not the usual fare. It’s things like chocolate covered cherry cookies, checkerboard shortbread cookies, chocolate caramel crunch bars, etc. Hmmmm. What else. I can sew and have made almost all the curtains in our home. I make some pretty neat pj pants, jewelry and stained glass panels. I am also a pretty good sailor. Love to run the winches, especially on Starboard. Things I suck at? Photography and gardening. I am trying though! I guess if I had to come up with one thing I was fantastic at it would be swimming. I swam all through high-school and into college. Oh and almost forgot. I am very good at drinking. *whispers* It comes with the sailing territory.

I am good at taking on too many projects.
I think I'm pretty good at making people feel welcome. I'm a prety good charmer, and I'm a great flirt.
I thought about you the other night Tkit. Our neighbors got a new puppy. It's party Great Dane, so it's a big puppy. Their excitement just reminded me of you and Bear.
Conner wanted to pet it, but then he would get scared. The puppy kept licking him and sniffing his butt. I told him the puppy was going to "get his butt," and he kept running around crying, "No, puppy, don't get my butt."
Whatevah, you just don't get to see all my flops. I keep those all to myself. :-)
But I am good at experimenting in the kitchen. I have no fear.
I'm good at picking out gifts for people. Usually. I tend to overthink things and stress out about it. That's when I just end up giving gift cards.
I'm good at throwing parties. I think about ALL the details.
I suck at crafting. I'm not a horrid artist, but I have no enthusiasm for it & it shows. I wish I loved it more.
I suck at remembering plant names. I don't remember what 75% of the stuff in my garden is. I wrote most of it down, but can't find the book where I did that.
Oooh, I also rock at bargain shopping. I'm patient & don't mind looking around & digging.
I am really good at sitting at the computer, wasting time and procrastinating about getting anything done.
I'm a pretty good cook, but I hate doing it. I am a most excellent pro at going out to dinner.
Crafts? Been there, done that, got bored... I can be creative when I want to be, but usually, I just don't want to.
Oooh, nutz, let's start a trend of competitive dining out. We could rock. Let's be a team.
LOL Boo! Puppies are pure menaces aren't they? Adorable but menaces nonetheless. Bear is really doing great. Everyone has settled into a routine and it works out great. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to love on him enough given how much attention I pay to her. But I found that she'll play with her toys and when she does, I'll call him over or go cuddle with him in his bed.
Kim, I don't have the creativity to experiment. *pout* DH does though. You would make a great caterer/party planner. Is there a market for that in your area?
It's my dream job, tkit! I'm just have zero money to start it and am too chicken to take the risk. And that whole "have to work every night & weekend" thing would get old.
I'm good at eating cookies that other people bake me.
I am fairly average at most things I do. *sigh*

I am a pretty good writer, not counting my idiot blog stuff.
I am a world class procrastinator. Thus, I can create excellent home decorating schemes or landscape designs but I never finish them. Just wander off & start something new.
I am a pretty good wife to Tom.
I am not a very good mother even though I have tried to be.
I am great at estimating size. If you show me something 43 inches wide and ask me if it will fit through the front door (which is 42 & 1/2 inches wide I will tell you 'no, it is half an inch too wide.'
I take well-composed photographs. I always have.

T-Kit, you have many talents. I'm gellus. Especially that you can make your own curtains. I've been in my house for 7 years and I still don't have curtains on most of the windows. Not only can I not sew, but I can't decorate so all I have are mini blinds in all the windows LOL.
Hmmmmmmmm what am I good at? Not much. I enjoy doing crafty things but they end up always looking like a child did them so I gave up on that.
The one thing I'd say I'm good at is making scrapbooks for special occasions.
I'm good at being a hostess to visitors to my house. If you are going to be staying overnight, I'll pretty much think of everything that you could possibly need.

I don't like curtains, Nookie. I have them in only two rooms of my house--everywhere else is either miniblinds or nothing. I have nothing in the liv rm because I don't want to obscure the view at all.

And T-kit...I made a flopped peach pie last night. It's edible, but not really "mmmmmmm, good." The recipe I always used is at my dad's house. I couldn't remember anything about it other than having vanilla in it. So I used a different recipe & yuck.

I have photos from her birthday but I took them with the new digital. I gots me a spiffy new Canon Powershot S2 IS. I just learned how to upload them last night. I'll bring them in tomorrow. I may post them on OT instead as blogger is being a real jerk about uploading photos. *pout* I also took some AWESOME flower photos that Augie is going to love!
