Attack of the Pink Eye.

WARNING!!! Proceed at your own risk. *hands out Purell bottles to everyone*

The Tkit household is under attack by some insane virus. DH has had it for 12 days, I just got my membership yesterday. It's Pink Eye. But this is no ordinary pink eye folks! The Special Edition Pink Eye comes with flu like symptons such as fevers of 103 or more, nasuea, body aches, sore throat and headaches. It's fabulous. My only saving grace is that I only have it in one eye. DH has it in both.

Please cut me some slack on how gross I look. It's odd how the Special Edition Pink Eye makes you cross eyed.

This is DH on day 7. He had been to the Dr. three times, including the Opthamologist.

This is me this morning on Day 2. Let's all hope that I manage to keep it out of my left eye.

Yowch! Whenever my DD has an eye that hurts she asks: is it pink eye? I'll have to show her these lovely pics!

Get well soon to all of you!

I caught pink eye from one of my kids one time - and a sucky thing it is! The morning crust drove me mad!

*tastes Breezy's soup*

This thing fvcking blows. I haven't been to work since Monday morning and really can't go in until next Monday. My throat is so sore from the post nasal drip than I can barely swallow. I'll go from "Well, I'm not feeling so bad" to 15 minutes later "OMG. I need to lay down because I am going to pass out and die." Also, imagine you are crying in bed while lying down. That's how much puss is dripping out of my eye and running down my cheek.

I've never had anything like this is in my life and I have had pink eye plenty of times.

Oh and did I mention? That my husband's eyes? Are sloughing? That's peeling folks. His eyeballs are fvcking peeling. He has to take a Q-tip every morning and wipe the dead skin from under his eyeballs.

Envy us. Really. This is so much fun!!

Ouch! That's really bad. It sounds a whole lot worse than regular pink eye. I hope that pets can't catch it from humans.

I now have swollen lymph nodes (PAINFUL!!!), duel ear infections and will be out of work until Monday at the earliest.

This is not contagious to pets. That is the first thing I asked when DH came down with this. They are a bit perplexed as to how aggressive this thing is.

From what they told me today, DH is shedding ocular membranes. If that isn't enought to make you barf I don't know what is.

We're both on steroids and heavy anti-biotics. NOT.FUN.
