July 4th plans.
(Because I just can't stand for one more second to see my last post when we still know nothing.)
Whatcha all doing for the 4th? Since it's in the middle of the week, we are doing? Nothing fun. Prolly more work on the house. Cleaning out and rearranging the linen closets, mudroom cabinets and drawers. General crap. Tell me all of your fun plans so I can live vicariously through you.

Conner has a swim lesson at 10 a.m. We will probably hang out at the pool for a bit (waves to Lasann).
I *think* we are having some people over for a small cookout. Nothing fancy. Then we will likely just hang outside and watch the neighbors' fireworks displays. From our back porch we can see one, from the front porch another.
I wanted to take off the 5th and 6th and turn it into a mini vacation. But it looks like I will be here on the 5th. *sigh* I should have planned better at the beginning of the year.
I have to be in Florida on a business trip that week, so on the 4th, I will either go to the beach or hang out by the hotel pool.
We will likely be digging trenches for two of our downspouts we never burried. We really know how to have a rockin good time, just like you!
That evening we'll be heading to the outdoor theatre (that I worked at last summer) to see The Merchant of Venice. We'll probably picnic with some fancy snacks and wine ahead of time.
WAHHHH! I want to go to a pool! WAAHHHH! Oh Kinm, that sounds even worse than what I am doing.
I at least get to keep relatively clean and organize by bath products. Although, the outdoor play sounds divine!
We are going to BBQ at my parent's house. They are out of town and the city where they live puts on a huge fireworks show. Not too much since it's in the middle of the week. *pout*
Small town stuff:
Rotary club pancake breakfast.
Annual 4th of July parade. Our congressman actually comes from our town so he's the grand marshal this year. In prior years, we've driven the grand marshal or division marshals in our convertible. Imagine me waving Queen-Elizabeth style.
Three sets of free 4th of July fireworks:
Six Flags Magic Mountain, a local park, and at the mall.
Wait.
That's next week?
*panics*
We grill. I make my annual potato salad. (Well, I do that the day before but we eat it on the 4th.)
Tom has that day off. We will spread mulch. Lots & lots of mulch. Exciting stuff, huh?
I like fireworks but I don't know if we will be going to any or not. We usually decide on that about an hour before dark.
Not sure what we're gonna do, probably go to Tanglewood where they have a huge display.
My big plans are for the 5th. I'll spill on that later though.
Since my sister will be having her baby on the 3rd, I guess I will be in the hospital cooing over him or watching Tate on the 4th. *grin*
We are having a cookout thingy at my mom's house on Sunday since we won't get to celebrate on the actual day. Nothing exciting, just low key hanging out, burgers and brats (ick) on the grill.
we'll go to SIL's to cookout and hang by the pool. i have a tan to work on, you see. oh, and we'll do some fireworks. i have a box of them that need to be ignited--not all at once.
